EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

SKM Course in Care & Education

Early Childhood is a course that provides exposure and specific knowledge related to baby care and nurturing activities starting from the age of 0 to 4 years.

Students who take the course are exposed to knowledge related to baby management such as bathing and caring for babies, preparing food and drinks, health and safety, and the application of educational knowledge appropriate to the baby's age and development level.

This program will equip students with contemporary early childhood skills and knowledge, pedagogical competencies, and intellectual and social relationship skills.

Students will also be exposed to developmental aspects in PERMATA's early childhood education curriculum covering physical development, early mathematical and logical thinking development, sensory and environmental understanding development, early language and literacy development, personality, socio-emotional and spiritual development, creativity and aesthetic development, creative arts and musical movement development and balanced nutrition skills for children under 4 years old. Students are assessed based on their ability to demonstrate theoretical learning outcomes and practical employment in the industry (TASKA), as outlined by the Malaysian Occupational Skills Accreditation (MOSQ)

WORK PATH

Upon completion of this program, graduates can continue their studies to a higher level, namely the Malaysian Skills Diploma (Level 4) and the Early Childhood Education Diploma at any recognized local and private higher education institution throughout Malaysia and abroad.

JOB PROSPECTS

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates of the Malaysian Technical Skills Academy will be able to work in the field of early childhood education, whether in the government sector or institutional daycare centers, workplace daycare centers, community daycare centers and become home daycare entrepreneurs throughout Malaysia.
