1 PHASE ELECTRICAL



Objective
At the end of the program, trainees are expected to be able to:
• Carrying out domestic and industrial wiring.
• Carry out testing of single-phase electrical installations
• Carrying out fault finding work on single-phase electrical installations
• Perform single-phase electrical drawings
• Carry out electrical maintenance work.
Curriculum
The course curriculum prioritizes practical-oriented learning and emphasizes easy learning aspects of theory. The syllabus of this course is adapted from the NOSS program of the Malaysian Skills Development Department. The curriculum content is as follows:
• SINGLE PHASE DRAWING
• SINGLE PHASE WIRING
• SINGLE PHASE WIRING MAINTENANCE
• SINGLE PHASE MOTOR & MOTOR CONTROL INSTALLATION
• SINGLE PHASE ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES MAINTENANCE
• SINGLE PHASE WIRING TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

After trainees successfully complete the course, they have the opportunity to venture into careers such as:
• Electrical technicians in the public and private sectors
• Opening an electrical contractor company (EIC)-EIU







Electrical Skills Training in TVET

Basic Electrical Theory
- Basic electrical concepts (current, voltage, resistance, power).
